Discounting Hollin Beef for April orders. $15 off for a quarter order; $35 off for a side or half order; and $75 off for a whole or full steer. With the discount the per pound price would be about $4.25 for a quarter, $4.18 for a side, and $4.07 for a whole. This price includes the live weight cost plus all processing. A quarter of an 800 pound steer yields about 83 pounds.

Hollin Farms is a three generation family farm on the eastern side of the Blue Ridge Mountains next to Sky Meadows State Park in northern Fauquier County, Virginia. We specialize in grass fed, natural beef and also offer heritage "Gloucestershire Old Spot" pork, fescue free hay for horses, and pick your own strawberries (starts late May), peaches, tomatoes and sweet corn, blackberries, and raspberries. We have a pumpkin patch and corn maze in the fall.

Hours: closed for PYO. Now selling beef and pork. Reopen for strawberries in the spring.

We are located in the History Crooked Run Valley next to Sky Meadows State Park. Sky Meadows has picnic tables and grills, is dog friendly, and has fishing and hiking trails.

Nearby Vineyards are 3 Fox Vineyard and Barrel Oak Winery near Delaplane, Naked Mountain on Leeds Manor Rd, and Chateau O'Brien in Markham. The vineyards have tasting rooms. There are family restaurants in Marshall and fancy ones in Paris (The Ashby Inn) and Upperville on Rt 50 (The Hunter's Head and Blackthorne Inn) Nearest gas is in Marshall, VA I-66 exits 27 and 28 -- about 12 miles from the Hollin orch

Raspberries

What do the raspberries cost?: Raspberries and Blackberries are $5 per pint container. We furnish the containers.

Where are the raspberries?: The raspberry and black berry patch is directly below the peaches inside the fenced enclosure. There are signs to the patch and to the peaches on Snowden Road.

Hours of operation?

When are we open?: The farm is closed until mid May when we reopen for PYO strawberries.

Pumpkins and fall stuff

Besides pumpkins, what else?: We have a free corn maze. Pigs and other farm animals to feed. We also have tomatoes ($2 per lb) and several kinds of locally grown apples ($8 per peck or about $.70 lb) We have a giant bed of greens (mustard, turnip, collards, arugala, and Chinese radish)for $2 lb.
High on the Blue Ridge, we are in one of the most beautiful areas in Virginia for fall leaves.

What do the pumpkins cost?: $.50 per pound for the large Jack-o-Lantern ones. $.70 for the others.
