Farmer Tour: Benefits For Farmers

Getting Started

Once you join Farmfoody.org by registering, you will be able to create your own profile, make connections with other users through friends and contacts, share video (and in time, photos), and maintain information about your farm.

Your Profile

The profile contains your personal information and activity. You fill in your profile to represent your farm online.

Farm Content

Farmers can post, edit or delete bulletins, which friends (and contacts) with your farm can see on their profiles. Your bulletins go out to friends (and those who have requested to be friends, we call contacts).

Or if you are signed up with Revver.com, you can post video of your farm. Revver is a video hosting site, which offers very high quality playback compared to YouTube. Depending on demand, we may add the ability to host your videos with other sites.

Marketing Your Farm

When users join FarmFoody, they can find your farm quickly on their personal map without needing to search, if they choose to be friends with your farm and you approve them as a friend.

When a user becomes friends with a farm, a marker for the farm is placed on their personalized map. Clicking on the farm marker displays information about the farm. They can also get driving directions to the farm.

You may want to look at our co-founder Tom Davenport's Hollin Farms profile to see how your farm can benefit from joining our site.

Foodie Tour: Benefits For You

Getting Started

Once you join Farmfoody.org by registering, you will be able to create your own profile, make connections with other users through friends and contacts, share video (and in time, photos), and maintain information about your farm.

Your Profile

The profile contains your personal information and activity. You can fill in your profile with your food interests. You are free to use your profile in any way that benefits you (and is within our terms of service).

How you use your profile is up to you. As a foodie, you can become “friends” of a farm, enabling them to interact directly. You can explore connections between farms through friends. Your friends can keep up with your interests through bulletins. When you post a bulletin, it shows up on your friend's public profiles. This benefits everyone.
